HENRY PRIESTLEY JACOB

Born 4th July 1844 - Died 11th October 1894

A son of George Andrew Jacob, he was born on 4th July 1844, baptized on 6th September of that year and died on 11th October 1894. He matriculated at Worcester College 16th January 1864, aged 19. He was Head-Master of Elphinestone College, Bombay.

He married Mary, daughter of the Reverend W Oakley of Kandy, in Ceylon. They had children:

1 Arthur Leslie, baptized at Poona on 13th January 1871.
2 Edith Mabel, born 20th February 1873. She married a Major Francis Henslowe, Indian Army.
3 Lilian, who married Surgeon-Major J S S Lumsden on 25th February 1896.
4 Edith, born 28th August 1878. She married Colonel Thomas Robertson MacLachlan.
