ERNEST ABBOT JACOB

He was born at Mahablishwar on 20th March 1868, a son of Lt-Col George Adolphus Jacob. He married twice. His first wife was Josephine MacBain, who according to the 1911 census of Canada, was born about 1867. They married on the 8th June 1898 at Carleton, Ontario, Canada. My late uncle Alaric told me that she died not long after their marriage. His second wife was named Enie, and was born in January 1876 in Ontario, of English origin.

Ernest worked in the civil service in Canada and was at one time ADC to the governor of British Columbia.
