The son of Nicholas Jacob alias Bradlaugh, he was born in ca 1584, and died in 1657. Described as a Gentleman of Laxfield, Suffolk, he married twice. His first wife was Barbara, the youngest daughter of Sir Arthur Heveningham, knight. By his second wife, Mary, the eldest daughter and co-heiress of John Waldegrave, of Badingham, Esquire he had children:
1 Thomas, born ca 1617, died in 1689.
2 Nicholas.
3 Elizabeth, born at Laxfield ca 1654, and died in 1700. She married Randolph Wyard on 23rd November 1676 at Brundish, Suffolk.
