SIR DAVID PRITCHARD-JONES 3rd Baronet
I have known David for a good many years, he is a redoubtable fellow, as also excellent company. The son of Sir John Pritchard-Jones Bt, he graduated at Christ Church, Oxford. His grandfather had been partner, managing director and chairman of Dickens and Jones, the iconic department store in Regent Street, now long gone. I got to know him as a book dealer, one of the most knowledgable in London. He shared a shop with Arthur Page, described as the last of the Edwardians, long gone from us, and then with Louis Bondy. Louis himself was an interesting man, arguably one of the world's leading specialists in miniature books.
