A carpenter of Fowey, Cornwall, he married by license on 5th July 1803 Mary Bond, daughter of Andrew Bond of Probus. They had children:

1 John Bond, baptized st St Clement, Cornwall on 7th October 1804.
2 Mary Bond, baptized at St Clement on 23rd March 1817.
3 John Andrew Bond, baptized at St Clement on 20th June 1819.
