A daughter of John Le Grand Jacob, she was born 3rd March 1902. She married Samuel Squire, a housemaster at Oundle Public School, in Northamptonshire. They had children:

1 Rachel Le Grand, born January 1927.
2 John, born 1929, died 1982.
3 Rosemary Jane, born 1934, died 19th February 1940.

Sam died in 1962. Rita married James Menzies Wilson on her 70th birthday. She died in1978. Sam and Rita on their wedding day.
