He was born 18th June 1915, and died 6th August 1983. On 4th October 1941 he married Audrey Louisa, the daughter of Allan Maxwell Arnott. They had children:
1 Julie, born 29th July 1942. On 16th October 1971 she married Peter James Draper.
2 Nigel, born 1st January 1945.
3 Jessica, born 23rd June 1945. On 1st March 1980 she married Derrick Knight.
