On 17th March 1809, at Probus, Cornwall, he married Charlotte Bond, daughter of Andrew Bond. They had children:

1 Jane, baptized at Probus on 9th November 1809.
2 Joseph, baptized at Probus, on 8th July, 1811, aet 10 weeks.
3 Eliza, baptized on 12th July 1813.
4 Richard, baptized at Probus on 30th December 1814.
5 Thomas, baptized 13th July 1818.
6 Jane, baptized on 13th July 1818.
