FRANK WILSON DEAN

Born 9th February 1863 - Died 3rd July 1955

A son of the Reverend Samuel Chase Dean, he was born in Satara, India, on 9th February 1863, and died 3rd July 1855 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He graduated S.B. from Doane College in 1866, and M.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1890; after graduation he served 6 months at the City Hospital, St Paul, Minnesota, and 3 months in the City Hospital, Minneapolis; he practised his profession for 18 months in Minnesota. He specialized in the study of the eye and ear in 1892, in Vienna and London. An oculist and aurist, he redsided at Coyuncil Bluffs, Iowa. On 10th June 1897 he married Sarah Ann Meston, born 4th March 1866 in London, England. They had a son:
