He married Mary, the daughter of George Ridley, on 13th January 1799 at St James's church, Westminster. They had children:

1 Mary Ann, born 24th November 1799.
2 Jane Elizabeth, born 10th July 1801.
3 Harriett, born in 1801 in Doctors Comons, City of London.
4 Edward Blake, born 10th March 1806.
5 Maria, born 12th May 1809.
6 Henry Ridley, born 12th December 1811.
