THOMAS JACOB

A son of Thomas Jacob, he was buried 4th May 1695. He married twice. By his first wife Elizabeth Thorpe, whom he married on 25th September 1660 at Stowmarket, Suffolk, he had children:

2 Thomas, baptized 22nd March 1663, buried 29th May 1706.
3 Martha, baptized 15th January 1665.
4 Mary, baptized 23rd April 1666, buried 11th March 1667.
5 Daniel, baptized 14th December 1667.
6 Elizabeth, baptized 9th September 1669.
7 John, baptized 3rd April 1671, buried 39th January 1739-40.
8 Mary (twin), baptized 20th March 1673, buried 31st May 1673.
9 Ann (twin), baptized 20th March 1673.
10 Mary, baptized 8th June 1674, buried 9th March 1675.
11 Isaac, baptized 25th July 1675, buried at Buxhall 4th June 1679.
12 Mary, baptized 11th November 1676, buried 3rd October 1677.

Elizabeth was buried 18th March 1683. By his second wife Sarah Woody, whom he married at Ispwich, Suffolk, on 7th August 1683, he had further children:

The Buxhall burial register describes him as a butcher.His will is dated 6th April 1695, and was proved at Bury St Edmunds on 20th May 1695. He is named in the 1676 Militia List taken at Buxhall, where he was charged to provide and carry a musket. He was executor of his father's estate. As churchwarden he is mentioned in a Buxhall register in 1694.
