The son of John Jacob of Buxhall, he was baptized 19th October 1623. He married Catherine Ross, who died on 31st January 1644. They had children:
1 Bridget, baptized 11th September 1616, buried 13th April 1682. On 30th November 1637 she married Thomas Sewgate.
2 Thomas, baptized 28th May 1618, buried 4th March 1688.
3 John, baptized at Buxhall 30th September 1618.
4 Sarah, baptized 6th August 1620.
5 Susanna, baptized at Buxhall 22nd April 1621.
6 Ann, baptized at Buxhall 28th July 1623, buried 26th August 1648.
7 Phebe, baptized at Buxhall 29th September 1624.
8 Marie, baptized at Buxhall in 1626.
9 Edmund, baptized at Buxhall 16th October 1631.
10 Elizabeth, baptized at Buxhall 3rd January 1634.
11 Marie, base daughter, baptized at Buxhall 1st January 1644.
