The son of John Jacob, he died 1st June 1581. He had a son:

A yeoman, of Laxfield, his will was proved 9th June 1581 (NA, PROB 11/63). On 18th December 1573 he was admitted as trustee (withothers) of a farm at Wilby belonging to Laxfield parish (Suffolk Record Office, Ipswich, FC80/L2/11).
