West Court Farm

We learn from Robert's will, dated 24th April 1787, that he had been farming at West Court Farm, in Shepperdswell, Kent. The house is of some antiquity described in a survey of 1616 of the archiepiscopal estates: 'well repaired and therein are theis rooms, to wit, a hall, a parlor, a little parlor, a kitchen, a buttery, a lardrye, a washhouse, a milkhowse twoe sellers, nyne chambers over these romes, and a fair gallery with twoe turretts leaded over'.

Robert was followed at West Court by his son William.
