REVEREND HENRY BOYCE DD

Born 7th February 1783 - Died 3rd October 1854

 

He was the 5th son of Edward Boyce of Tiverton, Devon by Joanna Peat his wife. Born on 7th February 1783 he matriculated at Queen's College, Cambridge and was chaplain to the dowager Lady de Clifford. He died 3rd October 1854 and was buried at Braintree, Essex. He married Mary Ann, eldest daughter of John Jacob of Roath Court, Glamorgan, at Somerton, Somerset on 9th September 1809. She died 7th November 1870. They had children:

1 Mary Ann, died in infancy at Somerton 8th September 1810.
2 Reverend Henry Le Grand, died 2nd July 1880.
3 Reverend Edward Jacob, born 14th May 1814, died 4th June 1897.
4 Mary Anne, died at Beverley, York, aged 13 on 19th February, bueried at York Minster 23rd February 1828.
5 William, died at Gedling, Nottinghamshire, aged 1 week, buried there 10th October 1816.
6 Carolina, born 13th November 1817, died 9th August 1887. She married Major Thomas Candy CSI.
7 Jane, who married Henry Upton.
8 Reverend William, who married Jane Vivian Woolcombe.
9 John, died at Connaught Terrace, Hyde Park, London, 20th January 1838.
10 George, died at Hedon, Yorkshire, aged 4 months, buried there 20th November 1823.
11 Philip, died unmarried in Canada in 1905.
12 Elizabeth, born 3rd Januaru 1825, died 19th January 1897. She married Reverend William Samuel Hartley.
